Hi, I'm Chanel, the founder of Ivy’s Cleaning Admin Support — and before this, I was exactly where many cleaning business owners find themselves.
I started my cleaning business Ivy's Cleaning Services Ltd, when my daughter was just two years old. At the time, I was struggling mentally, living on benefits, and trying to find work that would actually allow me to support us with the limited hours I had. When nothing fit, I decided to create something myself.
I printed some simple cards on Vistaprint and posted them through 200 doors. By the time I got home, my knuckles were bleeding — but a week later, I received my first call from a customer I still work with today. From that moment on, Ivy’s Cleaning Services grew into a 5-star business built on hard work, consistency, and reputation.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a solo cleaner, built and managed a small team, moved into builders and sparkle cleans, and eventually made the decision to simplify again when the stress of managing people and admin became overwhelming. I’ve lived every stage of this industry — the good parts and the exhausting ones.
One thing never changed: the admin load.
Like so many cleaning business owners, I reached a point where I was drowning in scheduling, invoicing, messages, and paperwork. I knew I needed help — but I couldn’t afford to employ someone, and I didn’t want the added pressure of managing another member of staff.
That’s where Ivy’s Cleaning Admin Support was born.
